Book excerpt: The Revelation of Jesus Christ Clear and Understandable Now seems to be the time when we need to know about end time events. Jesus said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to them that are without, all these things are done in parables. Mark 4:11 Perhaps that is why God has chosen to write the book of Revelation with so much symbolism, and yet to us who believe in Jesus as our personal Savior, it is given to know the mysteries of God, but not without faithful study of His word. This study of Revelation is designed to de-code much of the symbolism by using related Old and New Testament scriptures. The prophet Daniel was told to shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12: 4 Its easy to see that Daniels prophecy is our reality. We are living in a time of modern methods of transportation and state of the art technical advancements, and yet these are perilous times of uncertainty and rapid change. God is not only the God of eternity; He is also the God of time. By His design, some things are hidden until He is ready to reveal them. Now seems to be the time when we need to know about the mysteries of God concerning end time events. Gary Alan Rothhaar [email protected]

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding the Trinity is a revolution in Christian thought and philosophy. True Christianity is a Jewish religion established and organized by Jews. Gentiles were invited by Jews, with God’s approval, to participate in the Christian movement. However, Gentile Leaders in most Christian Churches of the world today do not preach the original Christian gospel message of salvation that was first delivered to the saints by the apostle Paul (Galatians 1:8-9). “Understanding the Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations,” will bring us back to the original gospel message, the oneness of God, and the power of God’s name in the face of Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11). When Billy G. Newton, Bishop, Diocesan of the 29th Episcopal District, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., Pastor of the Word of God Church read this book, he said, “This book was so fascinating I couldn’t put it down.” When Kevin Seraaj, M.Div., J.D. Senior Pastor, Cornerstone Baptist Church, Publisher, Central Florida Advocate News read this book, he said, “Understanding the Trinity" is a timely, relevant and extremely provocative piece of work. In a time when the church must be challenged to move out of old ways, notions, thoughts and traditions, this book will without question provide a forum for much-needed theological discussion. For students of the Bible, this book is a must read, for it is always that process of reading, analyzing and debating that enables us to move forward in both our personal and spiritual journeys." Great job!! Author’s Note: You have in your possession the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t let the birds steal your seeds (Matthew 13:3-13) (KJV).

This book was released on 2005-08-22 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This collection of essays, sermons, and prayers urges the church today to be the sort of community that sustains a vigorous and continuing conversation within itself as to who has called it into being, to whom it is responsible, and what it is called to be and to do. Jones reminds the church that it is an alternative political community called into being by the Gospel. This collection explores what it means to be such an alternative community in tumultuous times, in times when it is tempting to look to the world for answers, and to confuse loyalty to the nation-state with loyalty to God. A theme throughout all the writings is that the church is the necessary context for becoming and being a Christian.
God's Revelation of the Lamb

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: John’s 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” The next verse declares, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:17). Both of these statements are the absolute truth, and the Book of Revelation confirms it. God’s Revelation, given to John, shows how the Lamb brings that truth into the reality of our world. Modern-day theologians argue that the seven horns of this symbolic Lamb presents him as the judge and prosecutor of sin and the sinners of the world. However, this is a distortion of the text. There is no scripture in the entire Bible where a secondary symbol transforms a primary symbol. The Lamb is shown as the primary symbol in Revelation, and that Lamb is repeatedly designated as humanity’s redeemer.

This book was released on 2012-11-06 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding Biblical Theology clarifies the catch-all term “biblical theology,” a movement that tries to remove the often-held dichotomy between biblical studies for the Church and as an academic pursuit. This book examines the five major schools of thought regarding biblical theology and handles each in turn, defining and giving a brief developmental history for each one, and exploring each method through the lens of one contemporary scholar who champions it. Using a spectrum between history and theology, each of five “types” of biblical theology are identified as either “more theological” or “more historical” in concern and practice: Biblical Theology as Historical Description (James Barr) Biblical Theology as History of Redemption (D. A. Carson) Biblical Theology as Worldview-Story (N. T. Wright) Biblical Theology as Canonical Approach (Brevard Childs) Biblical Theology as Theological Construction (Francis Watson). A conclusion suggests how any student of the Bible can learn from these approaches.

This book was released on 2013 with total page 519 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about the Lord Jesus Christ and who He really is. When we read the Bible, we should remember the principle: “The last revelation carries the greater weight.” The final revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ to the last living of His disciples, the apostle John, a short time before the apostle John was also to expire, was a final word to His beloved disciple, containing the most important things for the life of the Christian church. And since the last revelation carries the greater weight, we should embrace these last messages of the Lord with great care and believe these words, even if they would upset well-established doctrines in the churches. Only the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy to be praised, and He is the only one who deserves the attention of this book.

This book was released on 2016-07-19 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The way in which we read the Bible grows out of what we believe the Bible to be. Thus it is impossible to discuss methods of interpretation without considering our view of inspiration, the gathering of the canon, and even the reception of the Bible by the community of faith. And so, Edward W. H. Vick starts this comprehensive discussion of hermeneutics—the interpretation of Scripture—by looking at what the Bible is, and what empowers its authority. He brings a lifetime of experience, teaching and writing to the task. In this examination, he takes up such diverse topics as inspiration, canonization, authority, infallibility, inerrancy, verbal inspiration, sola scriptura, tradition, myth, and many related topics. Dr. Vick always relates these elements to the overarching questions: How shall we read Scripture? How shall we understand it? How does it impact the way we live and act? There are many books on how to read the Bible, but there are few that will offer this comprehensive and systematic study. If you apply the principles you find here to your own study, you will find the scriptures opening up in new ways. Dr. Vick will help you move beyond the assumptions that often stand in the way of our personal Bible study and see the remarkable variety and power that is mediated through this book we call the Bible.

This book was released on 2018-02-06 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Caught by the Collar is an attempt to shed light on the inaccuracies and inefficiencies in the teachings and methodology of teaching in the Pentecostal church. In too many instances, sincere followers of Christ are lost in a quagmire of unanswered questions and errant doctrine. They end up with stunted or stagnant growth and sometimes turn away from Christ altogether. In many cases, these errors and confused teachings can be directly connected with the ideas that the Bible is confusing or contradictory. It is unfortunate that for so many years so many church leaders have either failed to recognize this issue or have intentionally chosen not to address it. In fact, holding on to and continuing to teach ideology and principles that are out of line with scriptures sounds suspiciously like teaching "another gospel," which the Bible specifically speaks against. As a lifetime member of this denomination, Eugene Akins has personally experienced the confusion caused when scripture is misinterpreted, the failure that occurs when scripture is not implemented, and the heartbreak that is precipitated by clergymen who should be in some other line of work. Many of the members of these churches are caught in what they have been told versus what they know and understand. They are caught in traditions and hand-me-down word bites versus the truth of the scriptures, and when the clergy is primarily responsible for all this clutter, church members are caught by the collar.
